Come diving with us...
We usually dive 3 weekends per month during the summer season. This reduces to 1 weekend during the winter. We dive at various locations throughout the North Island of New Zealand. We organise day trips to dive sites that are closer to Auckland, as well as weekends away to sites that are further afield.
Beach diving
Beach diving is free and provides safe, shallow, sheltered diving for less experienced divers. It is also great for a family day out and a BBQ at the beach. We usually dive at Jones Bay, Goat Island and Ti Point. Diver training, skill development courses and instructor training courses can take place at the beach.
Boat diving
Because we dive as a club, we get discounted diving on charter boats. We also dive from our Equipment Officer's boat, Sea D Sea, which can take 12 divers. We dive with people we trust and we usually get to choose where we dive. Some of our regular haunts are the Canterbury Wreck, the Rainbow Warrior and the Poor Knights Islands.
Weekends away
We stay at members' houses, or book into a bach or backpackers. We share the driving to keep the costs down. We generally dive in Northland, staying with club members in Kerikeri and Whangarei, but we also arrange trips further afield to sites like to the Mercury Islands (Whitianga) and the Mikhail Lermontov (South Island).
